It all started on Summit Avenue in Hagerstown, Maryland—where founder Zach spent his days off tinkering with a small air roaster in his kitchen, constantly setting off the smoke alarm. What began as a curious experiment quickly turned into something more, as friends and family kept coming back for “just one more cup.”
Today, Summit Roasters stays true to that easygoing spirit. Every small-batch roast is a nod to those early kitchen sessions: laid-back, personal, and full of the same joy that kicked off our journey on Summit Avenue.

What started as a home roasting experiment, fueled by curiosity and caffeine, has turned into a mission: to make top-notch coffee that’s fun, approachable, and seriously good. We roast for folks who function on vibes and espresso—whether you're tackling a mountain or just making it through Monday. This coffee is design with you in mind! No bull sh*t, no snobbery, just coffee that hits different.
