From the experimental hills of Finca El Conejo in Comayagua, Honduras, Joel and Delmer Banegas are rewriting the playbook on what a “humble” variety can be.
Catuai is often known for its classic chocolatey, nutty, creamy character—great in a blend, but rarely the star. The Banegas brothers had other plans. By carefully natural-processing this microlot, they unlocked a super clean, velvety cup that keeps the best of Catuai while adding a gentle twist.
